Jillian Carnrike obtained her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University following the completion of a B.A. in Psychology and Family & Social Relations from the University of Windsor.
Jillian is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Jillian’s work experience includes individual and family counseling. Therapeutic interventions include various counseling approaches, modalities, and techniques as required for each counseling situation.
Areas of clinical practice and therapeutic modalities may include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Brief Therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma Debriefing, as well as Play Therapy. Jillian’s experience has included such issues as anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, communication skills, conflict resolution, self-esteem issues, grief and loss, attachment issues, anger management, boundary issues, and transitioning to independence. Jillian also provides counseling and support to families and other caregivers to assist with methods of coping and behaviour management.
