Description of Home

Current Placements / Number of Beds Approved: 4

My home is located north of Stirling, Ontario. We reside in a big blue home surrounded by fields. The home is well maintained with softwood floors throughout. This traditional century home has five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The basement remains unfinished and is used for storage. The home retains its original charm with sloped, uneven floors, with family photos throughout.

Management Style

I operate a family focused program with CYW support. A strong relationship exists between the family and the Children’s Services Worker. The CSW respects our attempts at maintaining normalcy for all three boys, and interferes only as requested by the family, or if concerns exist and or arise.

Our Interests

Children in Sherry’s program enjoy a family based environment that emphasizes growth through experience and education. Activities are based on the groups interests and tailored to individual ones as well. Currently the program has all males, and interests include family camping, hiking, fishing and other outdoor pursuits. Some of the central tenets of the program include family time, individual interests and a social/life skills program in conjunction with a child and youth worker that is based on the needs that the child presents.
